    The Great Fishing Trip

Posting for Esteban Ventura. Too many pics to post so I'll start you off with a few and a link to the rest of them.

I wanted to share these pictures from lake Amistad with two Cobra boats. I am the one with the funny hat on the Coral.
You can see the deck extension we designed, it worked very well.

Who ever this Estaban is I sure hope that those fish are released . They all look pretty pale gilled to me . The out of towners are ruining the lake right now, I seen people from up north cleaning and killing 6 7 8 pounders at the fish cleaning stations. LMB are a sport fish if you are going to clean something fish for cats, stripper or crappie... mike

Re: The Great Fishing Trip (boots)

    Boots,
I agree with you, I made similar comments on the TFF and just about got black balled regarding AH. Too many locals shooting off how great it is and now the parking lot is mostly out of state guys that are not practicing catch and release. The reason I haven't posted any good pics this year is because the lake is so busy I have been going elsewhere.

Did go to Amistad over spring break with my 9 yr old son. Had a ball watching him catch fish and was determined from the start that this trip was all about him. My fishing would just have to wait. Saw some nice fish that he couldn't get to and I didn't want to have him sit and watch me try to catch them so we moved on.

The fish in the pics posted were nice ones, congrats on the catch guys.

Re: The Great Fishing Trip (Tx 201)

those are nice fish but why cant they take picture and let them go, Ah is a great lake to fished many times . It just chaps my a%$ that these people come to our state and do this , they would feel the way we did if we went to their stae and did it ....

    Tx 201,

I hear ya. The last two times I was there(end of March, 1st week of April) there were a ton of KS, OK, and NM guys there. Had to park on the last row in the parking lot and that is a pretty decent hike. Plus, those "out of towners" fly around every bend and blind corner at WOT. The boat is in the shop but plan on getting back down there next week sometime. Last trip I went, I managed to land this one before being blown off the lake. Still haven't landed a double digit fish on AH though. She weighed right at 7 lbs. and immediately put her back.

I don't even know what LMB tastes like. For all I know, they're all bones. But, isn't Esteban in a Texas boat and then standing at the cleaning board with those LMB?

I agree 100%. Those are real nice fish, and they need to take pictures and let them go. This just kills the chance for other people to catch nice fish like that.
