My new bay boat/fish & ski....

As most of you probably saw, someone swooped in and took my 596 off of my hands. The 596 was without a doubt the best boat I've owned and it leaves some mighty big shoes to be filled.

I have posted pics of the 2230 Bay Charger and pics of the 475 fish and ski. It was a tough decision but in the end we decided that a 2230 customized to be more like a fish and ski was they way to go. Here is what we are starting with.



It is going to be rigged with a Mercury 300 Verado PRO and should run right at 70 when propped right.

When it is all finished it will have a stainless framed bimini top that can be removed for those hardcore fishing days. Snap-in carpet, custom driver and passenger seats, custom rodlocker lid cushions, custom graphics, led lighting throughout, stereo, HDS-7 flush mounted in the console, MinnKota Terrova 101 with i-Pilot, and a pile of other stuff that I can't remember right now. Best of all my wife and kids are just as excited as I am.

I'll post pics as it progresses and let you all know how it runs.

Hey Stomp, you need one of these for those big Texas lakes......I was talking to Mike Causy Fri. at the plant about these boats,and he said the 10 or so that the water patrol have bought they are just flat impressed by the speed and handling of the bay....they said its the best rig they have ever ran,and they have tested just about every brand made.

After I ran one for the first time I decided it would be my next boat. Performance, handling, ride, and lots of ROOM. It will be the perfect boat for my family and when I want to get down to business and do some serious fishing I won't feel like I compromised as much. Plus when Lake of the Ozarks gets crazy in the summer I can go anywhere I want with up to 8 people in the boat!

There is no doubt the 475 is a great looking boat. I like the lines of the 2230 as well. Maybe not quite as much as the 475 but spending a few hours in one on the lake is what sold me. 70+ mph out of a 22' 3" long 101" wide center console that you can customize any way you want.

That 475 will be on its way to PA in the next week or so.
