What you would like to see in a new boat design?

With all the discussion of new boats and redesigned models I was just wondering.

What options or features would you most want to see on a new boat? Is it something that you've never seen on a boat or something that you have seen on another boat just not a Charger?

First thing that comes to my mind is a cupholder near the bow. Molded in not strapped to the seat post.

like to see this turned into a full blown bass -multispeices boat. With a sitdown center console, texture decking(no carpet-all ready have )..V- tunnel hull (wait they already have this too ) and made in 23 ft and 20 ft models ..with twin 300s this would be the ultimate bass boat That will handle any body of water.I would say 90 very easy ,Do it inthe nascar race them like the pontoons ,they would look really good

I just got off the phone with Jim Huges, asked him wha he thought of this idea.He said Ill stick it in the computer andsee what we can do.Also talking wth him they just finished up some for another big customer,He said we had them out running them with th Yamaha rep and he couldnotbelieve tespeedthey are getting with these monsters. He said they are by far one of the fastest big water boats made.Just look at the lift this monster gets.WOW

I've always wondered if there was a way to make a flip up/retractable lid in the bow that could have an HDS (or??) mounted to it? As long as it was a lockable lid I think it would be pretty slick?

I'd like to see a non skid deck option on all of the bass boats instead of carpet. I loved my Charger 186TF but hated the carpet. Always took to long to dry before I covered the boat. I have a Storm with non skid deck now but would consider Charger if non skid was offered as an option.

I know for a fact Joe has been looking at alternative decking material. They even tried a couple of things on the 195 that didn't pass quality control.

Why not use the same deck as their bay boat?

I agree. I just posted on the dream boat thread going something similiar. I would love to have carpet only on the front deck while the floor, compartment interiors and back deck were identical to the bay boat. Possibly even a snap on carpet pad for just the front 1/2 of the front deck.

I talked to jim, he said.he.will look into the non skid decking....the snap in carpet is a option on the 260 deck boat so I don't see why it can't be done on a bass boat too....till tommorrowwww.

I like the cup holder up front idea and a small little cooler/day box next to the recessed troll motor pedal that is only about 4" deep and just big enough to hold 3 bottles of water or soda. and a cup of ice. with a plug in it to drain. If not used for a small cooler than it could be used as a place to throw plastics in that you are using.

Lots of times in windy conditions on hot days--that I will not get off the troll motor pedal for fear of running adrift or losing a spot I'm over to go back to cooler to get something to hydrate myself. I see where Legend has added something like this on the front of their boats this year.

That is a good idea, and one I have thought of as well.
