Z7 w/ 200 Pro XS 26p fury?

Its all good guys. I'm still trying to get it dialed in. The first time I took it out I had it set at 2.75" below pad. Found I needed to lower it A LOT. Best so far is 5700 RPM at 70.1 mph set at 3.75 below pad. That is with a 3/4 tank of gas and 2 250lbs guys. It absolutely jumps out of the hole. May try to go even lower this weekend depending on the weather. Still pretty cold here. Btw I have a 8" hydrodynamic rapid jack on it with a bottom plate. The 25 fury is 5 years old now. Not a scratch on it thought. Was considering having it B&B depending what you guys said....

At 3.75" the chine walk isn't that bad, can still drive though it.

At 5700 with a 25p in the winter, well your gonna loose 100 rpms in the summer. If going to a 26 you will also loose at least 150 to 200 rpms possibly putting u below the the recommended RPM range.

B&B will gain u 1 or 2mph on the 25 pitch, I say that's better money spent. U might even gain some RPM from doing this. Talk to Croxton he's in your state I believe.

70.1 with 500lbs of riders and a load of gas is not bad.

A 25p prop at 5700 rpms with a GPS speed of 70.1 is 9.09% prop slip and a theoretical speed of 77.11. Anything under 10 is considered acceptable for prop slip. I would try to get it a little lower though which you can easily get there by getting the prop worked. I would wait until you have your summer numbers before you do any adjusting though.

Also BassTrackerOptimax over in the Tin forum is a great guy to talk to about props and setup. He's very good at helping guys, including glass guys, get dialed in.

Alright thanks guys. Think I'll wait until summer to see the numbers then will probably send it to get worked. What's your guys thoughts on going lower than 3.75"? I ask because I can probably go to 4" below before I have to change the mounting on the jack plate and motor because of the bottom plate...

Fury's seem to like running low when light. In the case of a Z7 that might be the right spot. 4" is about as low as I would run it though.

Yeah BMCD is pretty close. From the factory mine was set at 4.5 and I immediately raised it up to 4.25 after one run but mine only has a 175. It's running pretty good now so I almost don't want to mess with it anymore. I would go with 4 like BMCD says and see how it runs.

I have a 2011 z7 with 2014 200xs I have ran a 25,26 fury and also run a 26 tempest and a 26 trophy fury will be a little faster loaded light my 25 fury will run 1-2 mph faster at same rpm as the 26 fury the 26 tempest I have has been B&B and cup added and with two guys full tourney load and full livewells will run 73.4gps at 5700 the fury will run 70 same load and trophy will run 72-73 GPS a fury turns harder than a tempest does and for everyone who says it doesnt try to run a fury in the same pitch as a tempest and u will see that it does

IMO anything over 3 below pad on a z7 ur gonna fight bad chinewalk my tempest plus runs at 2 below and both fury's I ran at 2.5 I have 8 inch plate

wisfarmer what is your prop to pad measurement? I just traded my 26 Tempest stock for a 25 tempest with added cup.

My chine walk isn't bad now that I know how to drive it. I want to raise mine up but too scared to mess with it running so well. Raise it a quarter inch until water pressure drops and then lower it back down a quarter inch.
