1993 johnson venom 200hp vs 225hp

I was told the only difference between the 200 hp and the 225 hp engines was carberation is this true?If not what is the difference?In my manual the bore and stroke are the same.Also when they made the hot 200hp engines what did they do to increase the stock hp. I have heard and I am a beleiver that the Venom's and Limited edition 200's were all 225's. The above post is correct IMHO.

If you pull the jets and find them in the 70's they are 225's, if you pull them and find them in the mid 60's they are 200's. I have found this to be an easy way to tell.

there is more than just a difference in the carbs, I put 225HO carbs on my venom (1993 model fingerported) and will it was not asd good as the regular carbs. one of the gurus will totally explain what the changes are. also your 200 venom is really a plain gt as there is a very inportnat letter left off the serial number stating if it is fingerported ( a real venom ) or not
