NEED ADVICE ON BUYING USED CHAMPION BOAT

Going to look at a 2007 Champion 183 CX. It is listed for $18,999. Below is the add. What are some opinions on the price. I was a little leery on a Champion as they are not making them anymore. Buying my first boat in 22 years and I want to get it right. It was much easier before. They did not cost an arm and a leg.

2007 Champion 183 CX, Mercury Optimax 150, 75 hrs, 23 SS Tempest prop, pro trim, hot foot, 10" jackplate, tilt hydraulic steering, remote oil fill. Trolling: MinnKota Terrova 80 w/I-Pilot & quick release base. Electronics: Console & bow Humminbird 998 SI/GPS on RAM mounts, ext. GPS ant, ethernet cable, 2 Navionics chips, 1 Lowrance X135 (console). Optima batteries (3) (all < 16 mos old) and 3 bank onboard charger. Loc-R-Bar, Champion Trailer w/aluminum wheels, oil bath hubs, rod buckles, swing away tongue, disc brakes, spare tire. Auto & manual bilge pumps. Extra pedestal chair, custom Aurora boat/engine covers, garage kept. Gas always treated and tank completely emptied and immediately refilled with fresh treated gas annually. Also have original MotorGuide Pro Tournament 82 troll motor. Pictures posted do not show upgrades (Minn Kota trolling motor, Humminbirds, & Optima batteries added in 2010 & 2011).

Re: NEED ADVICE ON BUYING USED CHAMPION BOAT (cjd1215)

Although the decals have changed, the 183 (as well as 202 and 210) are still being built in Flippin AR. These boats are 100% Champions and the 183s are being built out of the same mold as the one you are looking at came from.

The price looks pretty good to me if the motor checks out! Sounds well cared for and lots of extras!!! Where is the boat located?

Very good price! I own the exact same boat and motor combo and you will be very pleased with it.

    75HRs is very low.
