Re: trailer paint match (john fortier)

You saw me looking for a trailer John... You could just give it to me and I'll give you my single axle black one. LOL.

Looking forward to seeing you on the water. Good luck with the trailer paint.

You could call MFI and ask them what the color number is.

As far as I know 05 trailers were made in-house (mine was), but MFI might be able to help....

Then Jason Bragg or Scott Riggs should know.

Re: trailer paint match (john fortier)

    Hey John,

I have an 07 and the trailer was made by SC which stood for Stratos/Champion which was across the street from the plant in Tennesee. The paint codes are located on the trailer identification sticker near the bow. My paint was a PPG industrial finish which can only be made by a PPG supplier who does the industrial finishes - automotive guys can't make this one. The paint was about $65 for a quart and the activator was about $80. You need both to cure out this type of paint. Good luck.

    Re: trailer paint match (Lea)

Now that you know the type of paint, are you abe to get the trailer to an automotive paint supply shop? They bring out a scanner that will match the paint almost exactly and almost any automotive paint supplier has the scanner at least on the east coast.
