Finally a pic of my 184 running

After owning my 1992 184 for 2 years, I was finally able to stop fishing and have a friend take a pic of my boat while running. I have always wondered if I am getting enough lift. This pic was 65 mph gps and at about 5800 rpms, full tank and livewells, and full tourny load for two. 175 Mariner magnum efi, prop is 24 Tempest Plus, set at 3.5 below pad, light chop on water, at air temp of roughly 55 deg.

Does the lift look enough? I have see a few older Champs getting more lift but, I dont know their setup.

    Thanks,
    Ron

Here is another pic, going away. I am not sure on this on the same run or not as I made several passes and my fishing partner was also taking a video.

need a side pic to see how much is out of the water but it looks good to me full load at 65 not bad do you have a jack plate ? you might go up some if you do what was your water pressure can go upif you still have 15psi but if it goes below that put it back down

Water pressure was right at 15, couldn't go up anymore without it dropping off. I do have a 6 inch Hydro (original equipment) . The best I ever got it was 3/4 tank of fuel, empty wells, tournament load for just me...67.1 gps. I have never tried wth light gas and no gear.

    Thaanks,
    Ron

Hey Ron, I'm new to Champions myself, so I don't know what other guys are running with that hull & motor combo, but I will say that mid to upper 60's with an 18ft and 175 sounds to be pretty well dialed in.

I'd say you dialed in. Especially with and older boat and motor.

    I had a 91 184 w/ a 200 . I think 65 is great w/ a 175. Thats a great boat !

First pic, rooster too high and does not look like much lift. 2nd pic looks VERY good!!!

You can feel it in your butt when she gets up on the pad.

I say its running pretty good. I have an 89 184 with 150 XR4 and the best I have ever gotten was 61.1. It runs a constent 59 no matter what conditions.
