See ignorance daily
I agree, especially to the new V-Wing hull owners. Tell us your experience.
Still in the break in stage on mine. 6.5 hrs I have two props coming to try because the 25 Fury that came with it will only get my RPMs to 5510 MAX. 66.2 MPH. I have a 25 Tempest and a 24 Trophy coming.
The ride is very good as expected.
The four wheel disc brakes are great along with the torsion springs
It has plenty of storage, although I would prefer to have two center boxes up front. The rear storage is enormous.
I like the one large livewell, but it does have a removable divider.
The cooler is larger than my friends 2006 -198.
The seats are very nice.
So Far I really like the Fortrex 101
I have a HDS5 in the bow, HDS5M in the console, and a HDS8 on a Ram mount.
I modified 2 plastic baskets from WalMart to fit under the lid in the battery compartment. I use these to hold my Stabil, Startron, funnel, rags, buoys, rope, etc.
Only two complaints so far. (1) The installation of the carpet trim in the bottom floor was poorly done. (2) For whatever reason, the aluminum trailer causes the boat to sit very high, (43" to the rub rail at the center of the dual wheels) which makes reaching into some of the storage compartments while standing on the ground difficult

I'd need a ladder just to get up to the trailer.

I'd like to see pix of this too.

I'll have to measure, but my 210 sits pretty high as well. I have to stand on the trailer or climb in to get into my compartments and I'm a head taller then Fred ...![]()

Derrick, what year is your 188? The V-Wing hull has been out since at least 2003. There is no 2002 brochure, so not sure whether or not it had the V-Wing.
Reggie, email with pictures sent..........I hope it goes through![]()

2003. I should of have clarified my post. It should have read something like this......"I would love to hear from owners that have never owned a ChampioN and is new to the V-Wing hull design."
