I would love to get cost and availability on a 7612 and 7610 xsv, Panoptix PS-30 down (mount in setback for z520 hull), Fusion Link and weather, and trolling motor ducer options. I've got to get some good pricing and slide this one by the BOSS... she is tough![]()
Looks like we are waiting on the same model
not sure my boat dealer is a Garmin guy... hopefully I can get this to work between Ranger and Garmin. According to research done at the Expo there are talks to get Garmin back on the install list at Ranger but right now that is not the case.
I'm calling Monday to speak with Ranger about this at the advice of Mr. Randy Hopper and I'm certain those folks will help me out... Everyone at the Expo was really great but I know who had the best looking electronics... hands down...
might have to order the boat with no electronics and order/install myself and was hoping to find the best source here...
I'd actually find a reputable installer instead of having the builder or dealer do it

I don't quite understand the title of this. I mean what's the deal with saying those anglers names first?

Sorry for the ambiguity but to explain -- I am a non-recovering Tech-Junkie and even though I spoke with several of these fine fishermen, I had personally rather learn from the Garmin guru's and look at this impressive sonar than selfie with another man ---- Sorry just me... but to each his own...
if you are a larger screen user and can see the historical arches of returns you just motored over - this shot is similar to that EXCEPT with certain frequencies you can determine bottom hardness, apparently also other information, so to me it means smaller object might be indicated in one color while more dense larger objects in another. Schools of bait vs larger fish... at least that's what I took away from this... could be in error and I'm learning about this impressive tech for the first time too...
The Panoptix transducer capable of this type service is ~1500 bucks, but considering some high end Airmar stuff - that's not too bad.
I am really thinking about getting a 7612 to try out when they are released. I love their operating system also.
Got a great one here only a couple hours away. You can fish Lanier while you're here. Maybe we can get a package deal lol

sent them an email and will now start shopping for my new Garmins.... I have officially canceled my Lowrance order and will soon have Panoptix (well at least one) --- this list I've put together is $$$ bucks for me, but I want this to be my "dream rig" and last boat. Might as well get it right....
I will give out suggestions for wife subliminal suggestion training for small $$$$... but please don't tell her that
Gotta shop for that best price --- yawl help a brother out here
