Ok Champ family, my buddy bumped the ramp backing my trailer in to load me yesterday and I noticed a big goose egg on the side of my tire when I got home. I was planning on replacing a couple, now think I'll replace all 4. I'm running 215-75-14 Goodyear Mararthon's and wanted to know what everyone recommends??? I've heard some bad things about the new Goodyears lately...

I've always had good service from Carlisle on my boat trailers and RVs. I just put a new set of Radial Trails on my 07 Champ trailer Friday. I bought the boat in March and had two of the Marathons start coming apart between then and Memorial Day ....
Never had any problems with my Marathons. Just bought a new set April 2010 and they still say Made in the USA. Let it be known that I do not like Goodyear tires for on a vehicle however. Just my .02 worth.

i just replaced a tire a few weeks ago. marathons are the best but at 165 a piece i dont know if they are that much better. i settled for a 125 one.
I just replaced mine last August. I had marathons on my 2005. They were all cracked up. I bought carlise. I don't usually travel very far though. I just got back from a tourny this weekend that was 100 miles each way. No issues. I think the most important thing is to make sure that they are properly inflated.
Carlisle for me 6 ply vs Marathon 4 ply. Maxxis seems to be a new comer to the market and making an impact.
I put Carlisle's on an equipment trailer (more weight than a boat) and on my camper, and both sets have been great.
Yellowstone Nat'l Park and back (3000 miles) and no issues.

I've never used anything but GoodYear Marathons on my boat trailers and have gotten good service out of them. If I were to change brands I would change to Carlisle's. Trailers tires are made for trailers.
Kuhmo "Radial 857" series tires are the cats meow! Load range D rated at 106mph.

On paper the Kumho Radial 857 seems to be an easy desicion, but I don't have any real word experience with them.
I have PowerKing Towmaxx radials on mine. I consider them to be a good quality (not great) tire at a reasonable price. Haven't had a problem yet.
