    I finally found a boat I like !!

Well I tried like all heck to find a good deal on a Champ but there just isn't any great buys on Champs, they seam to get higher by the day, so I caught a couple in the middle of a bad divorce ! Judge said sale the Cobra and give her half, when I showed up with a pocket full of hundred dollar bills they both about jumped to the moon! he told me its been such a bad divorce that they both ended up broke and the fighting attorneys got most everything. So all I have is my Champ seat post and a sharp 19' Cobra, and if I said how cheap I bought it Don and Fred won't be able to sleep~lol. I must say it is like driving a Champ. I'll visit here from time to time and yea Fred i posted a pic of it on the Cobra forum my friend.

    I had a Cobra before my Champ, it was a 1998 190d, with a 2.5ltr 200 Merc.
It was a good boat, but didnt turn or ride like the Champ.

It will make you a nice boat.
IM me if you need some setup help.

thats the same setup I have, did you have a jackplate? this boat don't have a jackplate and if I add one I don't see where I will be able to close my garage door, does a jackplate make a lot of difference on a Cobra? I know it did on my Champion. I have a new pair of trim extenders, they help on some setups and not on others. Looks to me they shortened the back deck to have a hugh front deck but man it sure don't give much room in the battery area.

Your photo shows as having been removed from photobucket, so it no longer shows here on BBC.

The Battery area is really small, might need to hire a midget when it comes time to do any work in there.

Yes i had a 12" para-lift on mine, it came with a 6" ritehite from factory i had no lift at all with the 6" Junker. 12" will make it lift and carry a load better.
I ran a 25 Tempest that was worked by Rich Boger.
It would run at a tourny load with partner 65-68 depending on conditions.
alone with tourny load it would do 69-71 GPS

Heck every Champ I found was crazy priced, as much as I miss my 196~~I still can't afford to pay collector prices just to fish. Oh well at least it don't ride like my R81 Ranger did{sick performer} ~~I guess I'll keeo my Champ seat and pedastal for a collector~.

Yea I couldn't figure why the 190 Cobra has more front deck than my 196 Champ till you pointed it out, they took a lot of battery area away, moved it all to the front deck, another thing I don't like is just like my 196 Champ~the darn fuel tanl is under the seats! I never liked that. Also they didn't give a lot of leg stretch room under the console on the Cobre, looks like all was concentrated on the front deck. But I really stole the rig so I'll live with all the negatives for now.

I could use a spare hydraulic front seat post if you want to sell it.

Are those scratches from pliers or a wrench around where the sticker is?

I am going to be at Fork from Thursday till Sunday this week and would like to get it from you.
