There are plenty of the smaller and mid-range 4-stokes here on the forums too (and I expect we'll be seeing even more as time goes on).

Instead of starting a new thread with a thank you and cluttering it up (I know how you like to keep it clean Don) I'll tag on here. I appreciate it Al/Don and want to thank yall. While I don't have a 4 stroke yet I am planning on having one soon. Come on 2/12!!

After the Miami show, and seeing the motors that Lund is offering this year. For some reason the 200hp 25" shaft opti is not offered on any of lunds offerings for 2015, or any brunswick boats including the 220 Sundeck by searay, and whalers.

So I'm pretty sure a new 200hp is on the horizon, and maybe the L4 verado will go bye bye?

I guess we'll all see Thurs at noon.

Motors are funny. I remember in '04 when the 18' 175hp, and 19' 200hp bassboat was so popular. Now we almost never see a 175 rigged, but see tons of 150's and 250's. Most 19' boats now are rated for 225. Weird trends, also the big 300hp+ is very popular along the coast.

I know the SeaRay 370 venture is getting re-released(actually re-marketed at Miami), so I assume mercury is also coming out with a 350-400hp outboard to push that barge.

All speculation. The motors wouldn't be built if there weren't transoms for them. Also the big HP stuff does have demand as Chaparral, SeaRay, Crownline, and Monterey all have big outboard deckboats out now.
