Any employees offered to relocate? Not saying that is the best situation, but sometimes that works out very nice for some people.

Dads 223 is a 2001 and is in great shape. No problems a all.
Champion has never made a "shoddy" product, in Mountain Home or in TN. Every glass guy I've ever talked to has said champs are one of the better built bass boats. Is every boat perfect? Nope. They were built by humans.
But "shoddy"?
Hardly.
And yeah, slinkeey, I'm still not in the best mood ever.
Unfortunately there isn't a way for me to block your constant posts about how poorly designed and built champs were, and they are all falling apart, and we should be scared to pull off our motor toters because the motors will fall off our wet, soggy, rotten transoms, that have turned into some sort of weird flux capacitor that will send Marty back in time as verified by a radio shack multimeter.

ps- 2001 champs had the same transoms that the 98-2000 boats did. They used baltek up until the bankruptcy, or so says Dave Shilck, but what would he know.
+1
I am the proud owner of a 01 223 Champion Elite, Have owned this one for about 1 year, No problems whatsover, Am also about tired of all the "Doom and Gloom" posts, When, or if, anything should happen to this boat, it will be repaired and i will still own one of the finest boats built.
BTW. I am not a "lemming" I have owned several different boats of different brands, Last two have been Champs.
*NO* one is bashing the brand in this thread.
This is not even a thread about transoms. The flux capacitor thing cracked me up though..![]()
Lea, I am still not sorry that I said I stated that the 2001 models were just fine.

If you figure out a way to block out the chicken little drivel, let me know, I'm in...

Way to turn Cullbynoon's thread into something negative.. I am not giving this any more attention because he was asking a simple question. We told him that he will be fine and I am sure that he would have appreciated not having to read through tons of babble.
I am done participating in this once good thread that turned screwy.
Lea, I am still not sorry for saying that that the 2001 models are just fine.

No need to be sorry for that statement. It happens to be true.

You'd love it ...You're gonna have to get HughesNet
Not from the posts I've seen about it!![]()
I was just curious to know if there were any issues I could attend to sooner rather than later. Champion fan and owner to the core. In the future I will be doing more casting than typing.

Have you had any? Mine's a 2000 and it is in amazingly good shape. Looks great and performs even better. Very few gel cracks, no transom issues, nothing but an awesome boat.![]()

Mines a 2001...Amazing fit & finish. I've owned 5 different Rangers, a Triton, a Skeeter and this Champ is as quality or a nudge better than anything I've had.
