If I remove these two bolts circled in yellow, do they need to be sealed with something after tightening? Any suggestions on this proceedure would be appreciated.
Thanks

Manufacturer used a silicon adhesive sealant, any generic will work. If your a freak 3M 4200 fast cure would be a great option also. It is usable 24hrs after application and can continue to cure while submersed. It is also a great adhesive with great elasticity properties.
Stay away from 3M 5200 it is too strong of an adhesive.![]()

You can also get 4200 and silicon adhesive sealant in black to match the boat and be more aesthetically pleasing.

Thanks for the qucik response. Do you apply the sealant to the bolt and then insert, or do you tighten the bolt down and then seal around the edge?

Be careful...I don't believe that you can seal those two bolt holes without pulling the motor off and re-sealing all 4. In your post you specifically asked if they "need to be sealed with something after tightening." The holes must be sealed before tightening and the sealant is applied directly to the transom around the holes. You can't tighten the bolts and then just squirt some sealant on them.
There is a thread in this forum that I started asking about how to do this and Championman guided me through the procedure. Check it out.
This is the product that he recommended...

Fill the hole, throw some more on the bolt, then clean up with rubbing alcohol. Also for good measure throw a bead of the sealant around the washer up on tightening. Tighten to 90lbs.
If you use 4200 that stuff is like mustard and does not just wipe off clothes and stuff. Wear crappy clothes during this little shindig.![]()

What 86 said! You don't want to risk a wet or rotten transom.
Oh... it looks like you have a jackplate or setback plate... that will have to come off also.

I'm certainly no expert but that 90 ft lbs of torque seems way too high for the transom to jackplate bolts. IIRC, 40 to 50 ft lbs was recommended to me for that with 60 to 80 ft lbs for the jackplate to motor bolts.
And... remember to use an anti-seize compound!

Thanks for all the help guys. I think I should just purchase a new jackplate and let my local marina put the new plate on for me. They quoted me $130 to take off the old and put a new(purchased by me) jack plate. That seemed fair to me.

If you're looking at getting a new plate, take a look at Rapid Jack. Most around here consider it to be THE best plate. Great customer service and they make the plates custom for Champs. Look up Hydro-Dynamics and give them a call.
