Nothing to worry about- the gelcoat is harder than the glass underneath. The glass flexes (say you hit a rouge wave wrong, hit a pothole or railroad crossing too fast while trailering, or just pounded across big water on a windy day) and the gel doesn't. Instant spiderweb crack. If you can't see the transom flex when you put weight on the motor you are FINE!

There are THOUSANDS of vintage ChampioN's around with NO TRANSOM ISSUES WHATSOEVER!

It is wise to make sure things stay sealed up back there, good to give things a once-over each time you pull it out of the water, but I'm getting tired of hearing all the chicken little stories. The guys at champ put in a lot of hours testing materials and layups and hull designs. They did not let anything out the door to use buyers as "guinea pigs". Maintain your boat, but use the hell out of it. Champions will last years.

Now let's go fish and quit worrying that the motors are gonna fall off!

Geeez!
