How hard is it to replace the slide and lock pedestals on older champions

I found some Springfield taper lock in eBay, some in a very good price..

Is it not possible to use 3/4" pin pedestals on the slide & lock bases?

R and R design sells the whole pedestal or just the parts if you just need to fix the ones you have. Very nice people and the prices seem fair. Good support from them. Their 800 number is listed on this forum.

Not possible. Base won't accomodate.

I need one for my 05 206 and the new snap lock ones don't fit because they are too big around and the ones on R and R don't look like mine.
