    CRACKED UP

this is my champion 186. any of you champ owners ever seen a champ do this? my opinion is that it is NOT stress cracks but because it is a black boat and was left out for to years w no cover. everyone knows how black draws the most heat. the sun baked it and caused it to crack and they are not deep cracks. have owned this boat for almost two yrs and love it. it just needed a little tlc and its gettn it now. got the boat torn all the way down and shes gettn a face lift

Welcome!!!!!!!! I owned a fine 186 and regret today for selling it instead of keeping it as a second boat. You will be very well satisfied with that boat. IMHO that was one of Champions best hulls.

love the boat so far. owned a bass tracker before this and just outgrew it. not enuff room or hp. my dad fished for years and owned a lot of boats mostly hydra sports bak n the day. me i got in to motocross and raced for 18yrs. got bak n to fishing about 3 yrs ago and got a tracker then got a unbelieveable deal on this boat. does great in rough water just like everyone says and much faster than the tracker! gotta have a little speed. used to going fast from racing. now that ive gotten used to the boat i may be wanting more

I think I know exactly what you are talking about. The bow of my 184 looks like a piece of shattered glass, they are not very deep though.

From the looks or your pictures, it look like it is cosmetic from the weather. Have you checked with a glass shop. Iam not versed on body work but, looks to me like a jell-coat job+. Even at that the structure don't look to be damaged.
