Two reasons really. Main reason is the econemy. Work is very slow right now and shes paid off, so could use the money until things get back on track. 2nd reason is both my kids are of age that their sports now take up just about every weekend and will for a few years now. (High school) This means it would sit a lot! Not good for her to just sit there. I'm at a point that I need to give my time to my kids and I'll have plenty of time to fish after they move on after school. The only problem I have is it's such a great boat and I'll have a hard time replacing it since it's not made any more. Now having it over 8 years and putting a lot of love and work into it, I'll sure miss it, but will move on and get into another Champ later on. It's not 100% that I'll sell it yet, but it's sure looking like it.

Kim, you just can't put a value on that one of a kind boat. What i mean is If i had it I wouldn't know what really is the value. I truly hate that, but, a person have to do what they have to do. Iam just having trouble seeing that boat on the market. If I weren't so far in debt I would come and look at it myself. Oh man - oman , oman. Good luck.

Putting such a nice and rare rig on the market will be tough enough. Watching her roll out of your driveway will be even tougher... BUT, it is just a boat... I only have 1 kid and he's 8. I'm coaching and going to all of his stuff, too. I know one day I'll be in your shoes as well. In the end, you can always get another boat. You can't get back those other responsibilities or opportunities. I love my champ as much as anyone.... but in the end it's just a boat. Nice perspective, Kim... You can always borrow mine if you like (though it only has a little 200 on it!).

Yes, they are great on Lake Erie. As a matter of fact, I purchased mine from guy that used it strickly on Erie.
True story, a few years back, during a Pro Walleye tourney on Erie, the wind and waves kicked up, and it was the Champion Fishunterso leading the way home with everyone else tucked in behind.

So sorry to hear and I hope you change your mind. I've run into a few problems myself, (cancer and lung deseases) but I know if I sold of my fishunter, I could never replace it in the future let alone afford a replacement down the road. With the way boat prices are going, it could cost $75,000 or more to replace it in the future. Even though I don't use it much anymore, it's paid for and there when I need it.

That suxs, is it the damm drilling ban that getting you That rig will sell quick around here. I would think in that condition $14K-15K would be about right. Hate to see that rig go as it s a true classic. Hope you get to hang onto to it. Does the boat do 65 with the 225. My friend had one with 200 merc efi and it would hit 60 light.

No, it's heavy fiberglass flooring. If your talking about below the windsheild between the consoles, then no.
