    Fury 26/towing?

    I ran a 26 Fury yesterday ,,5850 at 74mph,,,,,,,heavy loaded,,flooded live well
and full of gas was 72mph. No plug and strong hole shot with ten inch hydro-jack at 3.50 below pad on take off. Handled very well 50-67 mph. Jacked her up an inch and empted live well,,,,,she really had lift and 74mph. But the area of 42-48 mph where I run most of the time during the week,, was not as efficient as the 25" Tempest-plus. if I were young and wanting to " Fly" I'd jump on this one,
but MHG counts more as I live on a lake and fish as much as I can. Looking to test 25 Fury, selling my back up prop 26 Trophy to friend,,,25 might be best for 203LE
Should the jack-plate be lowered all the way when towing ????
I was taught it was less stress in the transom.

I don't leave it up and won't but, seem like if you have some kinda of a motor toter to support the motor, keep it from bounceing, it should'n hurt JMHO

I'd be more concerned with dragging the skeg if the motor was all the way down.

Charlie, when I towed this 198 home from where I purchased in TN, I was told to run the plate all the way up. I did then, but don't now, just because it has to be lowered when I back into garage. I think it should be fine either way...
