    99' 203 hull question

    Could someone please tell me if my friends 1999 model 203 is 100% composite construction?....Thank You.

    It's baltec construction similar to bullets and others, it's a great way to build a hull.

    My transom rotted out in my 99 203....... It does have wood....

    Someone did not seal it well after drilling into it....Dang shame. These rascals will last forever if sealed properly!!!

    I gave mine a nice 10 year check up. I replaced all the transom bolts for the jackplate, and sealed the hell out of them with Lifecalk. It made a hell of a mess on the inside of the transom, but being that you can't see it, I am happy to know that's one place water will not be getting in any time soon.

    Thanks everyone. His boat is in great shape, and there is no reason to think it may have any issues. It's just that he's trying to sell the boat, and buy something newer next year. One of the potential buyers asked the question, and he didn't want to answer it without being sure of the facts. I was sure that you guys (and gals) could tell us.....Thanks again.
