Since they already carried Stratos, it makes sense for them to order the ChampioN Elites.
From what I have been hearing, some current Champion dealers will not be able to pick up the Elites if they do not already carry Stratos and there is an established Stratos dealer nearby.
Hummm, I have a Ranger/Stratos dealer down the road that used to be a Champion dealer before Chapter 11. He was also a Johnson/Evinrude dealer before OMC went Chapter 11. After both companies came out of Ch. 11 he refused to carry either line although he has a 194 Fish Hunter as his personal fishing boat. I wonder if I walked in and said I wanted a 2011 Champ elite 210 would he order it? Of course I'd have to just get the hull as he is a Merc/Yamaha/Honda dealer now.
If he is currently selling Stratos, I would certainly hope so. He'd be foolish not to. It would be a good sale for him.
Pretty sure he was "forced" into taking on the Stratos line.
That would not surprise me if he was first carrying Rs. But, that just might backfire on R if the new Champ Elites are as good as in the past. Hoping!!!!
I spoke with Scott yesterday. Said oit was great he was carrying Champion again. He said he never stopped. Just waited till the CHp 11 was done with.
Scott is a great guy to deal with.
