Question about Megalink wiring harness

I have a 2008 210 champ with 300xs Merc. I am installing new electronics and need to better understand the Megalink system, and how it works with the Actia bios guages. I am wanting to have the engine info displayed on my hds screen via nmea 2000. I know this is possible with Mercury smartcraft and a Mercmoniter guage, just not sure if it is possible with how my boat wired. I spoke with an engineer from smartcraft and he had no idea what the megalink was. That makes me think I have something other than smartcraft. Has any one out there run into this yet? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will figure this out in time and post it here to help anyone else who should run into this. Thanks to all of you, this is the best site for info,and help, period!

Hi Lea. Thank you for all the time you put in on this board helping others. No I am not in touch with Anglers Marine, but with my local marine shop. We are both trying to work together to get this resolved. Were really just at the beginning, but as I stated earlier we will figure this out. Its probably just going to take a little time to find the right people to talk to. I hope we can eventually talk with some of the folks that built our Genmar Champs. That might shorten the learning curve a little. I have a contact # for Actia, I think that will be my next step. Ill try and keep you posted.
