    Re: 150 E TECH POWER HEAD (RICH2113)

A lot of things could have caused it, but the important thing is BRP will have you back on the water faster than any other MFG out there , they usually ship fully dressed power heads so everything up top is new.The only thing that they changed for my last power head for my 150 HO was to return it to the XD-50 setting, but I still run the XD-100 in it. 1 month at the dealer for repairs? I have lost 2 power heads, dropped of at dealer on Saturday, they informed BRP, and all I know for me and others most of the time power heads are overnighted and was installed in 4 hours I think, was back on the water within 3 days never any longer! I wish ya better luck! Matt

Re: 150 E TECH POWER HEAD (mjwray)

The longest a boat has sat at the dealer here for a powerhead replacement was 5 business days....Customer dropped it off on Monday morning and picked it up Friday afternoon...

Your dealer really needs to call the BRP tech line and get them involved to help figure out what the heck is going on with your motor.

Ok, sorry, I thought that it was in that long for motor issues....

Don't worry, BRP will make quick work of this and get you right back on the water! They have one of the fastest response times in the industry and the way they handle warranty claims is what made me stick with Evinrude when I was trying to figure out what to put on my next boat.

    Re: 150 E TECH POWER HEAD (RICH2113)

Could be one of many things, to many to list(That all manufactures have), but I will tell you this, my current power head runs strong, stronger than my other ones, I was like you also, skeptical of what I have got, but with the way BRP backs there products and makes sure you get back on the water my skepticism went away, I am now completely confident in my new power head where i have made 45 mile one way trips up river, and never thought twice about the motor. BRP will make it right, trust me on that!! MAtt

    Re: 150 E TECH POWER HEAD (RICH2113)

Any number of things could have made it blow. Bad injector, factory defect, bad emm, list goes on...that's why BRP sends a fully dressed powerhead, they want to make sure the at-fault component does not get transfered to the new powerhead.

Re: 150 E TECH POWER HEAD (AB)

really a bad emm could make this blow the power head cause last weekend the motor over heated when the motor was checked it showed that the emm unit over heated not the motor. had water psi when it over heated the engine shut down to 1200 rpms.

    Re: 150 E TECH POWER HEAD (RICH2113)

You know, losing 2 powerheads on a new engine doesn't sound to me like it is a good deal. So what if the dealer takes care of you. The best warranty out there is the one you never have to use.

I would have this engine set for the XD50 oil. I think you are just asking for trouble running at the XD100 setting.

    Re: 150 E TECH POWER HEAD (RICH2113)

I was talking about the other guy who was boasting about how good the customer service was and is on his 3rd power head.

I hope they get these issues worked out, because I really like BRP, their Seadoo's rock.
