    Fuel Additives

I refuel my boat (with 2005 225 ETEC) on the trailer, at gas stations and not at the marina. In Michigan, the gas stations are not required by law to indicate if they are using a mixture of ethanol in their gas. Therefore, I could be using E10 and not even know it.

For winterizing, would I be better off using a gasoline additive like StarTron or PRI-G instead of BRP 2+4. The StarTron and PRI-G indicate that they inhibit phase separation and deterioration of E-10 gasoline. Will they harm an ETEC motor? Will their use void my warranty? Will BRP 2+4 inhibit phase separation like the other two products?

    Your input is appreciated. Thanks

I would make sure I didn't have E10 in it, if it was my boat. I have always used stabil with good results. I think it puts a film on top of the gas, which keep oxygen from getting to it.
