Pictures of my new MinnKota Fortrex install on my 203

    Ok,
I tried to get as much data as I could before I 'operated' but it was all good. Except for the roll of tape I dropped in the hole from the removed recessed pedal tray. I have to say...I have no idea how I would have gotten to the nuts from the underside without the hole in the floor from the pedal tray.

I had a hard time convincing myself to look at your pics, because I think I'm convinced that I must have a 203 and looking at one will just make it worse. But, I decided to man up and do it anyway and I gotta say, it looks like you did a great job!! I will agree with you that having that removable recess tray is like popping the hood when you need to get inside the bow. Nice boat, dude!

I like your style! Here is my install from last April. I love the fortrex. It's a beast and it's really quiet. Alot of people complain about the "plastic" but it's just cosmetics. My has been flawless after 1 hard season....

You stole my boat!! Oh wait, mine is exact same colors but it doesn't have any carpet in it right now.

Is that a 36V. I would like to jump up to 36V but where do you stick the third battery on a rear tank 203??

Nice If you want a 36 volt all you have to do is buy a yamaha sho. Then you can eliminate the oil tank and there is space for the 4th battery

Re: Pictures of my new MinnKota Fortrex install on my 203 (iron banks)

Iron Banks...that was exactly my plan. Remove the oil tank and place 3rd battery on drivers side rear by starting battery. Put 36 V charger on hull wall where oil tank was above the gas tank. Then the NEW power pole hydraulic pump and control in the storage bin behind the passenger seat. I was going to get a new boat until there was a heavy brain truss in my garage about keeping the old 'girl' and hanging some new hardware. Part of plan was new Fortrex...phase one done.

    As for my motor...its a 24 V.

    Nice Larry,
Those things are a bear to install, can't believe 'Kota only uses an allen bolt to hold it on to the frame.
