    Recessed trolling motor tray

I've found that guys are using both comfort troll and trolleze. I am thinking about installing one in a few weeks and was curious if bullet offers one at a comparable price point? If so any pros/cons to using what they offer over one of the brands listed above? Also any tips for a first time installer would be appreciated. Thanks for your time!

They all serve the same purpose. Some may be a little bigger than others, just depends which you like best. I put one in my Bullet 2 weeks ago, very easy to do.

Take a look underneath the deck and make sure are not cutting a deck floor brace or any wiring, etc. Make sure you get the hole centered along the mid line of the deck.

Comfort troll by far the best. I've installed lots of them. Never been an issue with cutting. Just measure multiple times before cutting and make sure your cut is square with the boat. Comfort troll comes with a pattern you can lay on the carpet and measure off the sides multiple times then mark the edge with a marker or chalk, remove pattern and cut. Make sure you lay out the inside diameter of the flange so that the recessed part of the pedal fits tight, and there's plenty of room for the screws to get a good bite in the deck

Thank you for all the info. I had my eye on the comfort troll and ended up buying one this morning. How does everyone prefer the position of theirs? It looks like Bullet mounts them about as far forward as they can. I don't fish with a seat, and with two guys on the front deck it looks like this would be the best bet. Any opinions?

I called Tom at Bullet and told me the rule of thumb was to measure 12" from the pedestal base, that would be the back of the tray.

I like mine close to front. Almost everyone I've done is no more than a couple inches back if that. Same theory with no seat use for me and most my customers
