Pics of Mnt Home Trip as promised (pic heavy) Edited for being to darned big

Pics of my Mnt home fishing trip as promised.

This is a 1980 18'4 (I think) Champion with transome issues I found in MH at the local pawn shop. I wasnt interested but figured you all may want to see it. Kinda neat cause its an older boat. Obviously not all original and the pics really make this look better than it is.

Gramps at 80 still whipping my butt on Norfork. He and Pace partnered up again and took big stringer this year on the friday night jackpot tournys on Norfork.

    Running in Gramps Viper!!

Crisp morning on the Norfork River.

Pops and I on the White River. These are the typical flat bottom river boats that they run on the rivers in the Ozarks.

Nice fat brown Trout we caught.

    A few cut throats

    Hope ya enjoy em.

    Hope you enjoyed em.

Hard to imagine somebody walked into a Champion dealer and ordered a boat that color. Uggghhh......

    Nice trout.

    Great pics Mosher.

Cart, that boat matches most of the water we fish here in north Texas. Boat Camo for the fish. But I agree....UGLY. At least they ordered a Champion.

What guide service did you use? My dad wants to go on another float trip. Wants to use an old wooden float boat like he used when he guided on the river, but that's out of the question.

Nice trip. We catch alot of trout here in the Black Hills. They are my lady's favorite. Sometimes I troll for 'em with my 187.

We've used Roses Trout Dock on Norfork River for years and years. They are great people and friends. You can catch stocker rainbows all day on your own or you can hire a guide to catch big brown trout. Cecil at Roses is the best guide on the river to get you into big Brown Trout. We've caught em as big as 14 lbs before. This was a tough trout trip as the wearther didn't cooperate. The old wooden river boats are pretty much non existant anymore unless you own one. Best of luck.

The wooded boats are not out of existance, but out of the question for me right now. Supposed to be a builder here in Springfield. Thanks for the info. Does Roses have a web address or phone #?

I had a blast catching the big spotted bass on Norfork back in the spring. That lake doesn't seem to get much traffic. It looks like you had a great trip.

Like most lakes it has its moments. Forget any holiday in the spring or summer and especially when the basscat tourny is going on. I always enjoyed night fishing in the summer and winter fishing. Love my old stomping grounds and never seem to get back as often as I like.
