    Your opinions, please

The time has come for me to sell my baby, 97 Champ 202 w/Merc 200EFI.

My dilema is that I installed a Humminbird 1197 Side Imaging unit in the spring. The unit cost over $3K. Would you guys recommend selling the boat with it installed and bumping up the price, or taking it off?

Any ideas on what the boat should be listed for?

Check NADA...and be sure and list in the 4Sale forum before posting it in this forum, please...

As for the unit...do you want it on your next Champ?

You could set a price with the SI and without and see what happens. That is a NICE looking ride. Will make someone a great boat.

Sell it with the HB 1197. When you get another boat, buy the HDS-10.

I would take it off. You never get your money back on electronics with the sale of an old boat. I would think about $10K for your rig depending on the hours and condition of the engine. The hull is a little under powered and it is 12 years old. It looks to be in good condition which may help you sell it faster. What are you thinking of getting to replace it?

I would agree with Iron Banks on everything except the first statement. You are probably gonna be without a boat for some time or else why sell it? Based on that I would sell it as is . When you replace it electronics will have upgraded and you will want the new stuff.

The new Humminbird will not add any value to your boat, just might make or break the sale if a guy is on the fence...thats all.

I'd remove and sell seperately if you arent going to get another boat.

    Good luck!

Don't sell. New rigs are out of control. it's slowly becoming a rich man's sport.

No kidding...find a nice XB 250, sell the deuce, take the 32K you just saved and laugh at the suckers with the notes....cause there isn't anything on the market that'll run with what you've already got.

Nice boat! Love the fact that it's a single console...they're hard to find. This would be a hard one to part with.
