People can be quite devious, someone would read that ad and think it's a champ. It isn't.....

The hull does look like Champion, till you get oround to the back end. The battery compartment looks to be arrainged alot like my 193 was too. Either way, sharp looking boat!

It's a 492 Ranger splash with a turning chine added. If Storie had splashed a champ hull, Porthouse would have had him hung from the highest arkansas pine tree.

Saltwater logo... same motor, but some bassboat folks use this version just because it matches their colors....

Best of my recollection, there never was a 203 Viper either. That hull is a 201. Pretty CS IMHO that he made the Champion association. The Viper/Cobra drivers are a pretty faithful following as well, but the boats are a world apart even though they have the same name associated with them.

That boat looks just like my old Hawk, another one of Storie's critters.

Those boats do ride good, but boy are they WET!! That's the big difference from a Champion!

    Re: (Klinger N Ok)

I rode in a 95 Cobra 21' when I was shopping around and the ride was terrible. Fished alright but I thought I was gonna lose it trying to drive it topped out

My champ is 100x better, glad I waited.
