    Alarm keeps going off

I have a 1998 champion with a 150 ficht on it. The alarm keeps going off. Have had it checked several times and always reads water in gas. I have drained it 4 times and refilled, but it still keeps going off. It stays on for less than a minute but is getting to be very annoying. Anyone else out there have a problem like this??
As of right now my only option is a new computer board.

It would be a check engine light on his system check gauge.

He needs a laptop with the diag software connected to his motor and record the codes. Investigate them if they are temps delete them and if they are persistant make sure the problem has been fixed and then clear the code. Only time an ECU needs to be repaired is when it shows the dreaded 8888888 codes. Time for a call to DFI technolgies. But that is a matter for the J/E forums not here.

We have taken it in to a champion dealer in our area. He has hooked it up to his computer and always gets the same reading (water in gas). He has cleared the codes 2 times. The alarm goes off all the time no matter if we are in neutral, in gear or running. Always on for about 10-20 seconds.

I had water in a gas tank once. I had to drain the tank and put fresh gas in it. I bought it new and it came from the dealer with the problem. Don't know how the water got in there but once I drained it and filled it with fresh the problem stopped.

Pull the filter off and make sure the probes aren't touching they should be separated.
