Numbers on a 183cx with a 175 proxs

just want to know some speeds on the 183cx with a 175 pro xs on the back !!!!

iv seen a few guys post it normaly 2-3 miles an hour faster but about 6or 7 grand more becouse you have to go with an elite model

Chris? "2-3 miles faster" than what speed? You don't mention your speed with the 150.

183cx has a 150 hp rating.
The 183 Elite has the 175 rating.
I get 62 gps alone in my 183/Yamaha 150 VMax carb.
You should see 64-65 gps with a 175 ProXS. That's a guess

Jeff is correct....the CX is 150 rated. The Elite (more features are standard) is 175 rated.

My plate says 150 , But my Manufactures Statement of Origin says 175 , which is right .

Which do you have, CX or Elite? Elite is 175, CX is 150. The difference is in the packaging. The Elite has more bells and whistles as standard, including the 175hp. The CX is the lower cost model, due to fewer standard features and the 150hp.

There were a handful of 2007 183cx's that had a 175 hp rating. They were the VERY early models (first ones that came out).
They must have been VERY VERY early models because my 07 was made in Aug of 06, and it has a 150 hp rating.

Lea my 07 183Cx has a 150 rating but my MSO also clearly stated 175 HP.

My speed is slow compared to the rest of you: 58- 59 tops no matter how much I moved the JP.

I am going to have Mark Blue print my prop at the end of this year, everyone he does See's a average 3 MPH gain.

63 Mph is what BBM witnessed during testing a 175HP equipped 183 Elite

</TD></TR></TABLE>thats gps but in in the colder months with 24fury 59-60 in the summer with a 23 tempest plus cant turn the rpms as the water started to warm up my best was a 64 but that was only 1 time freak thing

Quite possibly it is one of the earlier 07s.

Mine is a cx , the best I have seen is 61.9 that is gps , but gets very loose

I have a 183 Elite with a 175 pro xs. Top speed 63 MPH (GPS).

I got a STRONG Yamaha 150 VMax carb outboard (2.6L) behind my Champ. It'll push it a true 62 gps (66 speedo) with me alone & light load.
It'll jump out of the whole, and get plenty of bow lift when trimmed up at wot! Got my motor "exactly" 3.5" below pad. I found the "sweet spot" on the height for sure! I raised it another 1/4" this spring from last year, and that 1/4" really made a difference in performance. It's getting better bow lift, and a little less steering torque.
I have little to no chine walk problem at all at wot & 62 gps.

I have a 183 Elite with a 175 opti. Top speed 62 MPH. 1/4 tank gas, 2 people (180 lbs each) no tackle empty livewells
