I installed a new VRO pump last fall on my 1996 Evinrude 150 intruder. The part # on the new pump was 5004558 and everything is good.... but. I notice that the motor is using more oil over all and smokes more at idle than it use to and it stalls at idle frequently now. It acts like it is leaner so you have to ease into the throttle and it seems to help if you hit the enrichment button or choke as some call it. I was told this is a new design pump and that it would use more oil. So I get to thinking that maybe I need to adjust the carbs for the different mixture and that is why it stalls. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Thanks for your time, Real McCoy
