    March 18th was our anniversary

So I ask Martha where she wanted to go for her anniversary. She said to Lake Amistad for a week. We left Saturday morning March 14th. The Pro's were still on the lake Sunday so we went sight seeing and did some shopping. Fished Monday and Tuesday without boating a fish, tough conditions. Trim gage went out and my trailer cracked so we spent Wednesday getting the trailer weilded and a Ranger Dealer there on the lake was kind enough to fix my trim. Thursday was a good day as we caught 15 bass and had another 5 or 6 to the boat that got away. Friday we headed to OH Ivey for our Texas Rally. Going through San Angelo on the way the right trailer tire blowout. Finally got the spare on with the help of a very nice fellar who came to help. Headed back into San Angelo and bought two new trailer tires. Back on our way to OH Ivey. Got there mid afternoon. As we were unloading the boat for the night Martha stuck a tribble hook in her finger buring one hook past the barb. Fortunately a guy at the place we were staying at had a daughter who was an RN right down the road from us. She removed the hook with a little work. Fished the Texas Rally Saturday and came in 3rd place with a 6.40 that Martha caught. We were gone for 9 days and had a blast. With a few bumps along the way we really did enjoy our trip. Life is great and I love my wife.

We did have a great time Lea. We have been married 32 years. Things just happen and you can't let stuff like that spoil your day. We were there to have a great time and the misfortunes were minor because of the people we made friends with along the way.

    Skip,

Congratulations on the anniversiary!!! However I can't see how you can be married to someone for 32 years when we all know Martha is only 29 years old.

Good to see that she is still outfishing you. Sorry for your troubles but atleast now you should be good to go for a while.

    Peace,
    Don<><

Skip, you have a great attitude. Alot of guys (maybe me included) would have allowed your troubles to ruin your trip. Glad you stuck with it and had a great time.

There's a question I just gotta ask.........have you ever outfished Martha???

St. Martha!!! Another one rides the bus. Congrats My Friends. . We all need to set something up mid way between Tejas and the right coast I still think some place in Mississippi like Barnett would be fine for a owner get together. About 8 from CENTEX and 8 from SC.

Way to go Skip and Martha!! Congrats! One day I will get the chance to meet ya'll. Sounds like you had a prety good time, all the stuff happening notwithstanding. "Life is too short to whine" should be ya'lls motto. Have made it mine.
