    Blinker trim

I purchased the "finger flex" steering mounted trim, which was supposed to fit over the helm, if it is a sea star helm. Apparently the one on my boat isn't...

Anyone have any idea what type of helm I have? Can't see anything written on the steering parts, just says sea star on the cylinders at the motor.

Checked out the "pro trim" installation instructions, and doesn't look like it would work with my helm.

Any feedback on the switch that goes right on the steering wheel, and has a telephone like curly cord?

Carol from C&O (my new best friend) is tracking down some parts for me, maybe I should give her a call on Monday and she can add it to my order.

I had one goal today, and that was thwarted

    Thanks, Rob

Upon further inspection, looks like Pro Trim will work.

Do you use a puller to get the steering wheel off? (After the nut and washer is removed!)

Let us know how that turns out. I'm thinking about adding a blinker trim.

I added a blinker trim on my 98" 186. Piece of cake. I don't even remember using a puller. Just a little coaxing with both hands. Just be careful not to lose the key way.
