Lea, here's a pic of my dog. He's my #1 fishing buddy. He's a year and a half old and I have no idea what breed(s) he is. I got him from a gas station on my way home from putting my 17 yr old dog to sleep. He was only 6 weeks old when I got him. His name is Boner.

haha...boner... Nice looking dog. Mine is to hyper to have in the boat and I'm always afraid she'll jump out or get in some hooks or something so she stays at home.
As far as breed goes it looks alot like a lab. Except for the face and especially the ears. They look to small to be a lab ears.
He's beautiful!! Some Lab, for sure...possibly some Pit (ears). What a sweetie.
Very smart of you to get him right away after your loss. No one dog can ever take the place of another, but they carve their own nitch in your heart and help ease the pain of loss... Been there so many, many times!

Here he is the week I brought him home. His ears never changed size. Thanks for the compliments all of you. I'll relay the sentiments to him. By the way, he can catch frisbees like you wouldn't believe. I can throw 3 at him and he'll catch all 3 and still have them all in his mouth. One time he got 4.
