    Bass Masters Classic

Lea, I will see you at the classic. I just sent the payment for our booth space. It worked out well, because we are not having our standard local boat show this year.

I wish I was going to the classic. One more year. Gotta get the Mrs. feeling up to snuff before I can take off for a week.

This will be my first time. I don't really know what to expect. It should be a good time. I like Cajun food, so I will be in a good spot for that.

Next year is either Birmingham or New Orleans. I forget which, but think Birmingham.. Have not missed but 2-3 in the last 20 years!

Shreveport has some good places to eat but unfortunately they are not well known for their Cajun food. It is the wrong end of the state.

I will be there friday and Saturday....and Shreveport does have some good food, when we stayed there for the BFL this year we ate breakfast every morning at the store right just down the road from the ramp where the classic will be held and it was awesome...

    Re: Bass Masters Classic (TeamChampion12)

It's about 10 hour drive for me to Shreveport, I've been through it plenty but never stopped always on my way to or back from Texas.
I tell you what if they do 1/2 a good of a job as they did at this years Classic here in SC I may make the trip down! BASS said (they always do) said this was one of the best venues they have come to. The show was at a separate facility from the weigh in location but they had shuttle buses (free) that moved everyone back and for pretty efficiently. Plus it being on my home lake made it even better. I got to meet some of the pros that were up here pre-fishing and got to chat one on one with the G-man (he really is OK), Tim Horton, Claude (Tim's dad) and Casey Ashley they were staying at a house about 1 mile from my house so I got to visit.

Best day for deals is Sunday close to close time. I picked up a Kistler CB rod for $70 from the Tackle warehouse it list normally for $170. only 1 per customer I wanted to be one about 4 times.

It is definitely an event to attend.

    Re: Bass Masters Classic (AuroraCanvas)

I would advise any of you wanting to go to Shreveport for the Classic you better make your reservations early and it might be too late. Motel rooms at times can be hard to come by there-especially the ones in the better parts of town. Minden is only a 30 min. drive or so from there and Natchitoches is an hour away if you can't find any in Shreveport/Bossier. Hope you all enjoy your trip to La.!
