Need a little electrical help...

I have a 2001 193. The power switch at the console turned on (lights up red) the other day, then 1/2 way through the day, it was off. It affects the other switches, pumps, livewells, and the 2 switches at the bow (nav lights, tilt/trim). The tm and tilt/trim at the steering wheel all work. It has done this before but had been recently working.

Any advice as to what it might be, how to look, would be appreciated. I'm not "mechanical" at all but maybe I could avoid the Marina prices (ouch!). Thanks- Dave

Check the breaker under the console. If that's it, try & remember everything that you were running when it quit. Something is possibly pulling more current than it should.

Hi you may have a shorted wire or a shorted electric motor. There is a posibility the impel er on the bilge,areator,pump-out or fill pump could be clogged. I know you want a simple solution but if you are not good with 12DC "please take this problem to someone who does."
You don't want an electrical fire that could be deadly!!Bobby

Thanks guys, really appreciate it. I'll try to check what I can, impellers, some fuses, whatever wires I can visually see... and then take the next step if need be. Dave
