    Opinion on flurocarbon.

Which fluro line is the best overall for cast-ability, abrasion resistance, knot strenght and low memory without breaking the bank? I tried the 100% Trilene but was not impressed with its memory nor abrasion resistance.

I've been using red label this year on a jig rod and one crankbait rod. I like the line, it is strong and thinner than mono. Casts well on a baitcaster, and been using the ends of the spools for leaders with no problems. I still use mono on most of my baitcasters, but put 12lb red label on one crankbait rod. Its the dia of 10lb stren, and casts well.

Seagar red label. Go to YouTube and search Shaw Grigsby fluoro knot. You will never have another problem. I also keep a can of reel magic. I treat all my line with it before i start fishing each time. Trust me it makes a difference. You will really notice the memory reduction on a spinning reel using the reel magic.

I use Sunline Sniper and Shooter in sizes from 4# (spinning) thru to 12# - 20# (baitcasting). Not a single issue with breaking off.
Excellent knot strength, abrasion resistance, and very low memory.

Red Label. I use it on a lot of rods this year, first year doing 100% fluoro on some setups. Totally worth it. I've run 6lb-20lb and like it.

Seaguar Invisx. Best casting, handling fluorocarbon I have tried.

I use Invisx almost exclusively but it is a little pricey. My dad seems to like the Red Label though

^^^^ I tried some sun line because academy didn't have red label 15 or 17lb in stock. I was not impressed at all and had a lot of break offs. I tried some abrazx and it was good but no better than the red label and cost a good bit more. I've tried the stren and pline floro and it seemed to break very easy.

    Red label and invisx.

If using 6lb or 8lb on spinning, the invisx is better, doesn't seem as springy with a little line twist.

I do prefer invisx for it's softness, but both do well on baitcasting applications.

With all flourocarbon lines you have to make your knots perfect or you will have breakoffs.

I tried all brands and knot's, broke off at the worst possible time. Switched to yozuri flouro coated and love it. No break offs, cheap and very sensitive. Might have been just me, but I am hooked on yozuri.

This, I have had no problems with break offs, and in tie the Grigsby knot too.

For the money its hard to beat Seaguar Red Label. Been using it a few years in nasty, thick cover and have caught a lot of decent to big fish on it. Never a single issue.

I like InvizX, especially for spinning reels. I like P-line Halo on my jig rods.
