what kind of speed can be gotten out of a 193?

Just curious, what can one get from a 193 with200 engine?Mine has run 71 at times or at least untill I broke an ear off of my 25m.Put a tempest on it and it went to crap.Mark Croxton said he could fix that so I sent it to him.Havent run it yet due to holiday traffic, but it sure looks good!I know I should gain some speed back, because I had to lower engine 1.5 inches to get the tempest to bite at cruising speeds.Anybody able to keep up with a Triton with one of these boats?

    Say its not so Lea!

Keep up with a Triton? Yeah I can keep up and pass all Tritons when the conditions are right.

Depends on which Trition your talking about, but you should be able to hang with anything comparable.

I was teasing him. I figured he already knew our boats can take on all comers in rough conditions....

With a stock 200 ox66 and stock 25 tempest+ I ran 72 - full tank of fuel and fishing load and just me. Add another fisherman and his gear - 68ish. With a stock 25m - 71 just me 68-69 two people. Those speeds were in summer temps. A worked tempest would be my choice since its not as likely to throw an ear off.

Sounds like Im in the ballpark.Mark has reworked my 26 into a 25 and added some lift over stock.I dont drive wide open all the time but on blastoff if you cant run 70 or better you cant stay with anyone around here.Oh well, at least I can ride smoothly through their wakes.Let it get a little ruff and look out for the only 3 champs Ive seen on pickwick. Thanks,Ronnie
