    Voltage gauge Problem

Ok i was wondering if maybe someone could help me. The voltage gauge will peak out when the motors on and when u turn it off and leave the key in the on position it will show the acurate gauge reading i was curious if maybe wires are crossed or the gauge is bad or maybe even something else?

    Re: Voltage gauge Problem (hydrarxt)

Take the purple & black wires off the gauge. Hook up a multimeter set to DC volts (meter red lead to purple & meter black lead to black). Monitor meter to see what voltage reading is with key on, running etc. That will tell you if the gauge has a problem or if it is a charging system problem.
