I have a 2005 225 HO etec serial# 05109575. At idle it shows very little water pressure at midrange 4-5K it shows 12-15 and at WOT I get 18. Is that an OK pressure?? If not what is the acceptable range.

A properly operating cooling system on your engine will have 3-4 psi @ idle and as much as 20-24 @ high speed.
Absolute minimum @ high speed for proper cooling is 15 psi in my opinion.
It will be interesting to hear other owners respond with the numbers they see.

I have a 2007 m225 HO and i get the 12 at mid range and 18 at WOT. With the stream that comes out of my motor, Ido not know if my hoses will handle a 24 at wot. I think the guages must vary.
Mine runs 2-4 at idle....as soon as I come on plane it stays at 15 until about 5000rpm, then it jumps up to 20 and stays there...never have had an overheat alarm yet...![]()
