    2001 trailer bearing ?

I have a 2001 champ (very recently new to me!), that came with an EZ Loader trailer. The rims have a cover that comes off with a phillips-head screw. After removing, I expected to see some sort of grease fitting / bearing buddy type thing, but the bearings appear to be sealed.

Any info/knowledge would be greatly appreiated.

    Thanks, Rob

Rob, do your Bearing Buddy's have a "Blue Grease Indicator Ring" on them? Usually there is a small cover on that blue ring that just pops off using a small flat blade screwdriver. The cover cap is usually embossed or stamped with the Bearing Buddy logo. The grease fitting is located under that cover cap.
I cannot say this enough,,,,,,pump the grease gun SLOWLY! Pumping it fast is a sure fire way to over pressurize the hub and cause a seal failure or cause the Bearing Buddy's pressure bypass valve to start continuously leaking grease slowly. I'll try taking a picture of mine in the moring and post it so you can compare to your trailer.

    Thanks Uber,

Mine appear to have just a solid cap... I'll look at your photo, and take a closer look at mine.

    You were right Uber!

Finally cleaned up the wheels and got all the baked on black gunk off the bearing caps, and what do you know, there is the blue ring and logo, and the caps pop right off. They also look much better chrome, than flat black!

The grease in them is blue, anyone know what kind/brand this might be!

    Appreciate the help - Rob

    Thanks MikeMac.

How is the weather back there. Major reason I left Upper Michigan to move out here to Washington - Water temps dropped almost 10 degrees last week, put the smallmouths in a funk!

    Must be global warming...
