pedestal seat ?

2005 ChampioN. Why are my seat pedestals rising all by themselves? When I sit on them and pull the lever they go back down then creep up within 10 minutes about 4". Is there any way to disable this and have them down all the time? We are all medium size people and all the way down works just fine. I am thinking about drilling a hole somewhere to relieve the gas charge I know they are worn out. I am not blaming any one. Enrico

Someone might have an answer, but I sure don't....

It is probably something with the gas piston. Contact the pedestal manufaturer. They will usually be willing to correct the problem.

The piston is worn out. You'll need to replace it. Same thing happened to mine.
