Engine Overheat alarm

I have a new(1 month old) around 6 hours 2007 225 HO ETEC SN 05202976 , I have had the over heat alarm come on 2 times the first time i stopped cut the engine off, and then cut it rite back on,,, thought i had my motor a lil to high so I lowered it and crank it rite back up and went on and had no more prob. out of it that day, the second time I stopped and started fishing. I dont think that the motor is running hot , the water pressure is fine when the alarm goes off., and the S.A.F.E. mode deal never kicks in. My question is , is there an update to fix this problam.

Ok here is the deal, I had the same problem, 2007 225 HO on a Z21 with a 10" hyd plate. I recently had the updates done that changes the overheat alarm to a lower temp. Apparently I had been running my motor too high before and the extra heat did a little scorching to the water pump impeller. I was only 10-12 lbs of water pressure at speed. Definately not enough for this motor. I put in a new water pump and now I can achieve 15-18 consistently and sometime up to 20 if I tweak on the plate. If you are like I was you have probably run you motor too high since under the old temp settings the alarm would not go off. You might try a new impeller.
