    Champions at amistad

was at amistad this past weekend, and the ChampioN rough water handling definatly came into play, saturday morning i came out of the river and instantly had to hit the down button on the trim, wind finally calmed down on saturday at about noon. then around 3 it picked back up.....left for weigh in at 4:15 and my fishin partner was afraid we were gonna be late When we got there we were bone dry while just about everyone there was just nearly soaked , all the other guys in those other boats asked where i had been cause they had loaded up about an hour before weigh in.....I just laughed and pointed at my ol girl down by the dock and weighed my dinks in. they thought i had given it up I was sure proud of my old narrow beam. there were 10 boats tied to the dock 9 of em were Champions. all the guys in my club said i was crazy....I just told em to ride and decide.

not any real info, just struck me funny all of them brand new boats on the trailers, and my ol 92 cuttin a trail across the big "friendly"

we stayed at Ruthy's over at rough canyon......I weighed in an itty bitty limit. we weighed in at blackbrush.....you couldnt stir the boats at diablo east with a stick. sunday I loaded up early cause i was so sunburned i couldnt move Ive seen it alot worse too, but was the first time i actually got to use my champ for what it was built for couldnt buy a bite on sunday and was tired of fightin the wind out on the points.....just to have the wind calm down right after I loaded her up....oh well, I got to go fishin at least
