Swapping a 1994 Evinrude Intruder for a Used Motor

I have blown my motor several times and have always had trouble with it and want to purchase a used motor for my stratos.

How much would I be looking to spend for a used, reliable evinrude (with and without warranty).

If I didn't want to purchase another evinrude (or I find a yamaha/mercury at a lower price) how much would it be to put on a different motor?

For a repower to a different brand you can expect to pay around a grand to change everything, controls, harnesses, some guages.
