    ETEC 150 aux battery cable

    Hello,

I own a 2006 150 ETEC. A few weeks ago I installed the Aux battery kit: part no. 5006253.
Before installing the battery kit I installed a Mastervolt Battery mate 1602 to operate two batteries.
Off course the Battery Mate is not installed anymore, after I learned from the cable....

The extra cable is now connected to the second battery. Can anyone tell me if the two batteries are 100% isolated?
No powerleakage possible between the two batteries?

    Many thanks,

    Martijn

    Welcome to the BBC.

I think there is no leakage between the two if I remember correctly.

The kit provides isolation. There are two battery chargers in the EMM. When the aux battery charging kit is installed properly, the two are separated. Each one now has the ability to charge either battery independently as necessary based on the load. Total output is approx 50 amps. With the aux kit installed you have two 25 amp capable outputs.

@sportwin: I received an email suggesting only 2007 models have this feature?
