Need HELP Quick!!!!!!!

I have a 85 Evinrude 150 XP on a Ranger 340V with multiple issues. First I believe that the gasket between the Cylinder Assembly needs replaced. It is splitting bubbles/air/oil on the Starboard side by the top and bottom Bypass cover's. Redone the Bypass covers and now know it the other gasket. I can not locate just the gaskets I need, for this repair, without purchasing the whole Powerhead Gasket kit. It does not even list it on the parts break down. I do not need the whole kit, lot of gaskets I will not need at this time. The Carb gaskets will come with the carb rebuild kits, so do not need sets. I am going to go ahead and do the carbs when I have it apart, another issue.

Engine falls on it face when you crack it open on takeoff, unless you start hitting the choke and it will work threw it, but when you get going it is fine. Also on take off at WOT it struggles to get up on pad, will only hit 3000 rpms until it gets over. Then it will run up to 6000-6100 rpms @ only 45-47mph with 16-18psi water pressure. I tried to adjust the Jackplate both up and down but really did not make to much difference, just on Water PSI, I am running a 23 pitch 3 Blade SS. I am not sure where to start but I am not happy with boat at this time. Thanks in advance.

Can you try and repost this in a more organised maner? IE 1, gasket,2 Need this part, etc it sure would help to have your model # 2 as I have some parts available.

There isn't a gasket between the block halves. You have to remove the powerhead, split the crankcase, clean the old sealant off, prime it and then use new Gel Seal to seal it.

I'd get a factory service manual. It will be well worth it.

Once that is sealed, most of your issues will probably go away.

Oh yeah, you need a prop with more pitch to bring those RPM's down to 5500 @ wide open throttle.
