Head gasket

Need to replace both head gaskets on my Johnson Outboard. I've been having an issue with slight overheating and stalling found both head gaskets were leaking slightly in the bottom cylinders. Looks to just be gasket degradation, as they weren't blown per say. Just leaking slighty. I think they have just broken down with age. The model number is j225TLERK. The BRP website had the part number listed as 340919. However when i called the parts guy he said this wasn't the correct number, it had been superceded. He quoted me a price of 49 a piece for the updated gaskets. I was hoping to find out what part number these are supposed to be now so I can search other sources and explore my pricing options. Called my local NAPA. His information stopped at '93. Does anyone know if the head gaskets are interchangeable with a '93 model 225.

The P/N your looking for is 345257. Suggested retail is $ 47.69 each. You better stay away from NAPA and get the real thing from a real BRP dealer. If you are real nice, maybe he will provide you a copy of OMC Service Bulletin # 2253 dated 3/92. Then maybe the new gaskets won't leak, like the ones that are installed incorrectly now. You know what they say about being penny wise and pound foolish.
